In July of 2010 I started studying at the online animation school, Animation Mentor. I was introduced to the school when I attended the 2009 CTN Expo and was blown away by the calibre of student work being produced and teachers that take part. I also came across an amazing student reel online from a graduating student, Ron Pucherelli who was hired right out of Animation Mentor into Dreamworks and has since worked on How to Train Your Dragon and Megamind. His work oozed personality and I was blown away by the little gestures he worked into the hands and quirks into the face. I wanted to learn how to do that in 3D too!

Animation Mentor features teachers from all the major studios including Disney, Pixar, Blue Sky, Sony, Dreamworks, ILM, Rhythm and Hues, Nickelodeon and Tippet Studios. Each week you receive critiques from these amazing teachers and watch lectures from the likes of animation masters including Carlos Baena and Eric Goldberg (what could be better than that?!)

Chris, Chad, Drew, David, Victor and Sean have taught me so much and so far Animation Mentor has been an amazing experience.
