Shot Progress - Spline Pass

I have now completed the spline pass of my new shot! Yay! This includes my first pass of lipsync and facial animation.

When I convert a shot to spline my main goal is to get everything smooth and retain the snappiness of the blocking. So I try to look for places where I can add a bit more zest into the spacing which really adds some texture to the shot. I think this can be seen best when she says "Fight" for the first time near the start.

My next pass will be polish where I will first go through the fingers and really clean those up and get them to interact with each other nicely throughout. I will also track everything and try and get the spacing to be really tight and not get even at all anywhere within the shot.
